Sneak Peek: Walser Wedding

Here's a few shots from the Walser wedding!  Jen wanted to keep things very simple and hi-light some fall tones with mainly roses.  Her husband has done a lot of missionary work in the Middle East so they incorporated a lot of that into their wedding with the linens, food, and colors.  To tie things together I spray painted all the vases gold and silver (using Rustoleum Metallic finish) and used some exotic flowers for the reception.  It was really fun to work with such rich tones and to get to use some unique flowers like kangaroo paw, pincushion protea, and ginger!
I didn't get any great shots of the reception stuff (there's one below) but I'll pass on the professional shots when I get them!  Here's the inspiration board.

Fall Color

Tomorrow marks the end of the busy, busy wedding season!  (These are some of the flowers for this wedding.) This past summer (well fall too!) has been fantastic and a HUGE thank you to all the brides who let me design for them!  I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you, all your creativity, fun ideas, and new challenges.

My husband's taken a new job. No, we're not moving, but we're headed down to Portland, OR for a week of training.  It'll be work for him but it will be a lot of catching up with family and friends for me and the kids and I'm extremely excited for a little down time!  Not to mention a trip to IKEA, Powells, outlets, and hopefully some thrift stores. I may finally find the elusive side table I've been looking for to finish off Ida's nursery.  So, blog posts may or may not happen next week.
Thanks a ton and see you soon!

(btw: I've got a new blog and logo design in the works!)

Sarah and Adam

Here's some of the photos taken by Jean Marie Photography.  She did a fabulous job capturing the feel of the wedding.  For more of pictures of Sarah and Adam take a look at her blog.

Sarah put a lot of time and thought into planning her wedding.  And the result was fabulous!

One of my favorite details that Sarah wanted to include was using her grandmother's ring (which was also a "something blue").  I attached the ring to the front of her bouquet.

The centerpieces at the reception (held at SEL Event Center) were curly willow, river rock and roses.

Sarah's bouquet featured burnt orange calla lilies, red and orange dahlias, roses.

The fantastic cake was made by Sarah's mom, Kathy.  Mainly red velvet but a few layers of Funfetti just for the groom.  (Funfetti also happens to be my favorite kind of cake!) Her sister-in-law made the "Love Is Sweet" sign for the dessert table and loads of her relatives came to help us decorate the reception site.

Thanks and Congratulations!

Fall Leftovers

I don't typically make large arrangements for myself but all of these roses were past selling point so we get to enjoy them! I'm also thrilled with the vase!

Sarah and Adam Sneak Peak

Last night was Sarah and Adam's wedding.  Everything went extremely smoothly and everyone looked fantastic.  The photographer's photos will be much better than the ones I quickly grabbed - but here's a sneak peak.  Sarah put a lot of detail into her wedding and it looked amazing.  (Above is the inspiration board I made months ago for it.)

Here's the just married sign I made on the leftover manzanita branch.  3M Utility adhesive (for those hooks) held it up!  Pretty impressive!

Congrats!
